Ski Characteristics

The most apparent feature that sets edelwiser skis apart from all the others is their special geometry. Designed to ski with a smile!edelwiser offers four different ski shapes.

Due to their subtile flex and torsion composition the skis deliver reliable grip that remains constant throughout the entire turn - without being too agressive. Not only speed freaks will appreciate this virtue, it's also an enormous value for beginners and those relaxed skiers out there.

Enjoy these and many other handling qualities of edelwiser skis. Wether it's on the groomers or between the rocks 'n trees you can count on them. Fat enough to float, they'll give you all the bounce you need to paint that powder with your tracks. Their width and the resultant float make edelwiser an awesome tool for powder days and demanding conditions like crud and corn. They just keep on swinging, long after everyone else has headed for the aprés bar.

One of the advantages of this special shape is carving without plates. Be closer to the snow - feel more.

Handmade masterpieces

One of our core values is our dedication to producing skis of the highest quality. We only use the very best materials in combination with the finest manufacturing techniques, rounded off by a superb finish and perfect tuning.

The roots of edelwiser ski go back to Reinhard Fischer's legendary Snowrider technology. The concept of dynamic skiing using the appropriate ski geometry came about in the early 1980s. Since then we have continually strived to develop our technology further.

Every single ski that leaves the edelwiser facilities is hand made and consists only of state of the art materials like wood cores as the heart, laminated sidewalls, top performance graphite bases and subtile laid laminates for optimized flex and torsion characteristics. All these ingredients are carefully assembled by manufacturers with over 20 years of experience in sandwich ski construction.

Skiing Impressions

"A really, really easy-to-carve, versatile fronside ski that hooks up nicely along its extremely large sweet-spot and can give any level skier great feedback underfoot. Surprising grip on hard surfaces for such an easy-skiing ski. Highly recommended for its intended audience. Not a race ski or suitable for muscle-skiers who will overpower it."
