TAKE CARE!
Properly tuned skis can make a world of difference. Your personal edelwisers are valuable - take care of them and they'll treat you right. To get yourself a truly professional ski tune, take your boards into your favorite local shop and have them do it for you.

First Check
Base damages - scratches, rills und holes affect all skiing attributes.
Structure - a coarse-grounded, dried out and frayed base make the ski slow and cumbersome.

What's up
Insecurities - every flaw to the evenness (humps, dents, waves) of the base results to an uneven distribution of pressure, also on to the edges. This can make your ski react in a highly surprising way!
Exhausting - a convex base requires extreme verlangen extreme Aufkantbewegungen. Sie sind instabil bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten.

The edge
blunt edges, inappropriate edge angel, rust ...
forget it ... *g*

store edelwiser

Please remember the following hints when storing your edelwiser skis for a longer time:

  • clean and dry off well - especially where water can deposit (binding, brakes, etc.)
  • let residual humidity evaporate in a dry place - place skis seperatly
  • when fully dry, clean base, wax and scrape off the excessive wax
  • store at a dry and "dust free" place (again skis placed seperatly)

    Dont's
  • lying skis for drying or storing
  • storing dirty skis
  • store skis in a wet ski bag
  • store skis for a longer time bound together
